The Silence is Deafening...

... since the "Thundering Heard" just left for home. The grandkids, and those two people they live with, spent part of the day here with us for the holiday.
Since the weather was kind of grey and gloomy, we did very little besides crash here at the house and eat. We also watched a fun show on the SPEED channel called "101 cars you must drive", hosted by the very funny Alonzo Boddon. He is an NBA star and part-time comic and car guy. Check it out.
Rachel also loves "Dirty Jobs" with Mike Rowe, so we switched between those all afternoon. Noah was glued to the computer, playing a game online. Rachel took over my laptop to write a new story while channel surfing. Typical woman, multi-tasking.
Eve kept busy with her own little projects. She loves doing her Home Depot kids workshop projects. Here is this weeks project...
No Bill! Randy is a cheap import from China! The little stuffed animal was their project. Such a proud and happy couple!
On Saturday Aaron and I worked on the ongoing Eagle project at Denny's school. He did a good job and we had a lot of fun. The pavers are almost installed, and this project should be done soon. Here are a few pix.
We both put in a good days work on the project...
The zen of paver base and stone... And of course, after the work is the reward!

Krystals and fries!! Can I get a WOOHOO from Katie!?!

Thats about it for our labor day weekend. I never thought I would have 2 BLOG's in a row without a major disaster. But, then again, an extra day with the kids almost qualifies...

Randy is not a Chinese import - he is a bonafide USA American - and a cutie, too. Of course, he thinks he is SPIDER MAN. Eve and her young friend have so much fun together.
