More of the busy life...

... That is our typical week.
Things are zooming along for us here in Tucker. Last week the grandkids went back to school.
Aaron is now in 8th grade, as you can see...
And Rachel, Noah and Eve ride to school together. Eve is the newest bus rider since she is now in kindergarten. The clever layouts are stolen from Victoria's BLOG. Be sure to visit her and see more of her award winning work;

Denny is doing OK with school and other outside activities. He is also going through another one of his "switchup" phases, where things are changed to his new way and old habits are no longer the usual behavior. We used to have to keep the doors open and leave the lights off, now the door to the hall is closed and the closet door is propped against it to make sure we can't get in easily. Here he is with a recent new haircut from Alice and a new T-shirt he received as a gift. The unhappy look has nothing to do with the haircut or the T-shirt; He just hates to be social or have his picture taken, plain and simple. Some other habits have not changed much, others have. We have learned to roll with it.This weekend was also our annual trip to the North Carolina mountains to tag Christmas trees for the scout fundraiser. I was able to have Aaron as my travel companion on the trip up and back. We talked a bit and shared some time together. Well, I talked and tried to share time. Here is the resulting response.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ !!! He was sound asleep before we hit Hall county. But things did change when we got to the tree farm and he was able to go up the mountain with the rest of the guys.That's one truckload o' trouble, right there!!
The guys did a GREAT job measuring, tagging and cataloging almost 500 trees! It was hard work and a job well done.
Then a quick break for lunch in a nice shady spot before finishing up and moving on. Thanks for making and packing my lunch for me Aaron, it was great! And no hot sauce like you had with your sour candies, that was a relief. We stopped at Tallulah Gorge for a photo op, and then on back home. Here is a snapshot of Aaron and Grampa' at the overlook. Obviously taken by a twelve year old amateur. At this point in the trip, I was willing to take any photo I could get. The sugar high had kicked in for all the guys and it was time to get rolling.
Next BLOG I will try to remember to share Eve's lost tooth and bike crash. I took pictures of her "owee". Until then, Granny and I are enjoying the current rain shower and some time at home alone on a Sunday afternoon.
I wonder what Denny is up too? It's awful quiet back there...

Great photos of the tree tagging trip! I love the sleeping Aaron photo. Sleeping kids are me favorite! ;)

I look forward to seeing the Evey pics, too!

Denny is such an interesting soul!

You have some great photos. I am so far behind in blogging. You do a good job of keeping everyone up on what's going on in the JP2E world.
