Another Saturday...

I thought I would BLOG on Saturday this week, just to confuse my sister and mix things up a bit.I started Saturday morning with another tour of duty on a current Eagle project. The guys are making good progress toward the wheelchair accessable raised planting beds at Denny's school. I always have a good time with the scouts and Dad's, even when we have to work hard in the summer heat.Back at home I had some time with the grandkids, as usual. There was lots of noise, food and fun; (Mayhem is optional, your headache may vary). I asked the kids who were present (Aaron was already gone somewhere) to pose for their annual photo in front of what Eve calls "Grampa's big flower". The lantana out front grows to be the size of Granny's car every summer, and is a favorite spot for me to snap the latest photo of each kid.Rachel is becoming a very grownup young lady! Her new haircut is a result of donating about 9 inches of her hair to "locks of love", a charity that makes wigs for cancer patients. She is also still a very prolific author of wonderful stories.Eve also had a haircut, to be just like her big sister. She is still a princess, and loves to play waitress for our breakfast feast every Saturday. If you are a fan of Dr. Who, the time traveling hero, you will also want to know that Eve wants to grow up to be a DALIK! (Exterminate! exterminate!)Of course Mr. Noah-it-all is still alive and well and planning world domination by robotic army. He received a new backpack for school this week with his favorite hero, Ben Ten, on the outside. He is ready for school; but is school ready for him?

Right after I got the kids pictures I had two more visitors show up at grampa's big flower. Here they are:

I am particularly happy with this bee picture, it came out better than I had hoped. Of course I shot about twelve pics to get this one. Isn't digital photography great!

This guy showed up next, drying his wings after a light shower. Once again, being able to shoot a bunch of shots and then delete the bad ones works out OK!

Well, that's about it. I just wanted to share a few photos while I had the camera out. I might BLOG again tomorrow, depending on what happens. Right now I am home alone with Denny, who has been in need of some "correction" lately. He is apparently unhappy about something, but unable to voice his issue clearly. We have been getting "tell tale signs" from his behaviour, and trying to communicate with the school to see if we can figure out what is up.

Granny has gone to a birthday party with Torie and Michael, and the kids are at home (their home) getting ready for bed. I am preparing to watch COPS and all the Saturday night "Brit-coms" before retiring. Until next time. I'll be seeing ya'...

Great photos of the Eagle Scout Project and my kiddos! I, totally, agree with the statement about Noah!

The lantana is garganutan! The bee and the butterfly are so cool!

The party was fun and the Mexican food was quite tasty. I'm glad you got some down time!

You should tell her that it will be awfully cramped inside the Dalek machine! She and her brother should team up to take over the world, it will be easier to divide and conquer.
