Weekend Update...

This Just In...
Rachel has entered the BLOG space!
Welcome my talented granddaughter to the online world by visiting her new BLOG. There is a link on my page.

The rest of this Saturday was the usual blur of activity for the family. Aaron is off to summer camp with the scouts. Rachel is now BLOGging. And Noah has consumed half his weight in junk food and zoned on TV cartoons.

But the biggest fun of the day was Eve. First thing this morning I was awakened by Eve, who was wearing her kids size Home Depot apron and demanding we get going for the kids workshop. I took both Eve and Rachel, and we had a great time building the project for this month - a miniature catamaran sailboat.

After the two ships were launched Granny took the three kids to the movies. They saw a new film about a ninja panda - they loved the movie! As soon as they all returned, Eve went next door and conned her buddy Randy into coming over for some fun. Eve loves Randy; The jury may still be out on his view of the relationship.

Both kids are 5 years old, but Eve is quite the "take charge" little lady. She instructs Randy in all aspects of their playtime and he seems to go along - reluctantly.
First thing on the agenda was some fine dining.

Please note that Eve made this a formal occasion with a flower in her hair. The menu was the always popular chicken nuggets and french fries. A delicious repast and an elegant dining experience for a 5 year old couple.

Eventually, Randy had to go home. Eve was content to allow this and Randies parents were given permission to take him. Our princess contented herself with brushing her pony (SUGAR) and painting her sailboat before leaving for home with her mother and brother.

I am planning to get off to sleep, as soon as I get that pony back in her stall and clear a space in the spare room. Rachel is spending the night again so we need the extra bed.

Maybe there is room for me at Randies house...

Sounds like a busy day!! You are going to need a day off from the work week to recoup from the weekend's activities!! :)

I beg to differ, but I believe that particular panda studies Kung-Fu, not ninjitsu. I mean honestly, a panda ninja? Who ever heard of such a thing! Glad to hear you had such a good weekend. I need to get to some of those Home Despot classes for adults and maybe do somethings with my house!

Aren't week ends great. That is a good reason not to retire. Weekends don't mean anything special except for church.
Love.

Sounds (and looks) like you guys had a great Saturday. It also sounds like you didn't want it to end!!! Since my kids grew up on me I haven't had an excuse to go to any of the new kiddie movies. Maybe my turn is coming back soon!! Keep on keeping up with the kids. It will keep you young!! Love ya!!

Glad you told us about Randy. I saw the picture of an asian kid and thought he was a free give away at the ninga movie.

Eve and Randy are such a funny couple. He is, of course, Spiderman, and Eve is his overbearing, female counterpart.

The girls had fun doing the Home Depot building and Eve will soon be outweighed by her little metal buttons on the apron.

Thanks for taking such good care of Sugar. Eve loves her faithful pony and Grampa! :)
