HOLIDAY AT HOME...

... with a side trip to the kids workshop! Eve is known as a "pro" at the local Home Depot. She loves to build the monthly project with grampa'.

After our morning adventure, we headed home and the grandkids went to a pool party. Granny and I spent the day together, relaxing (sort of) with some really great barbecue and some old movies on the tube.

I also tinkered around the house and shop and got a few things accomplished. The JEEP got an oil change and coolant change and the flowers got a good watering. I also managed to spray for weeds in the side yard. The shutters on the porch are all painted, leaving just the ones on the bedroom end to be done.

I truly enjoy being home and accomplishing a few things. I also want to remind everyone to remember how we came to gain our independence and what it takes to maintain it.

Hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday weekend.

Until next time; I'll be seein' ya'...

Sounds like you had just the kind of day you like!!! A little relaxing, a little tinkering and a little eating.....

At our Home Depot, the kids' project this week was a utensil holder "to use for your Holiday picnic". I was sort of sad that I didn't have a kid to make one for me. I really wanted one and it would have been extremely handy to have this weekend!! Oh, well..... I'll have to wait until Maddy gets bigger, I guess.....

Thanks for reminding what this wonderful holiday is all about....

Love ya!!

Great video of Eveybug, or as we call her at home "The Hammer". I'm sorry she wasn't there to help with the Jeep. She loves that too. Good job on getting so much accomplished!
