WHERE TO BEGIN...

...With why I haven't BLOGged lately.
First of all, I have been sick. But a trip to the doctor, dentist and oral surgeon got me back on track. I had been suffering sore throat, swollen glands, low-grade fever and off-and-on pain in my jaw and teeth. A visit to the doctor and a prescription knocked it out; for almost two weeks.
BACK WITH A VENGANCE...
When the symptoms returned they were worse. I hightailed it back to the doctor and she did some tests. The infection in my throat had returned (source still unknown) and had settled into my jaw and soft tissue of my palate and tounge. I was MISERABLE!!
THE FIX...
After this visit I got a second prescription and an immediate trip to the dentist to drain the now abcessed infection in my jaw. The dentist then packed off the problem area and sent me up the road to the oral sugeon, who removed some infected bone and reset a tooth and crown; Oh, and by the way, a root canal got thrown in for good measure!
Now it is Granny Sue's turn to fight off the infection.
As of Memorial Day I am 100% cured and healthy!
OTHER STUFF ALSO HAPPENED...
Noah had his 9th birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NOAH
We all enjoyed a cake, ice cream and lego's. The best gift was the "real" erector set from granny and grampa'. But the other toys and cards were fun as well. Noah was transfixed by the lego's transformer.
CONGRATULATIONS RACHEL... On crossing over with the Girl Scouts! I believe she is now a cadet. The cerimony was held at the same private park as the last one, and was very nicely done by the leaders.
Rachel also graduated from elementary to junior high school with very good grades. This summer will be another "college for kids" writing class and drama camp. What an amazing young lady!!!
IN OTHER NEWS...
Aaron and I attended the family court of honor for the troop and had a great time with the meal and awards cerimony. I should also mention that Aaron and one of his scout buddies stepped up to the challenge and cut and edged the entire lawn and picnic area at the scout hut in preperation for the event. He also picked up trash without a complaint. GOOD WORK AARON!
In two weeks the guys are heading out for summer camp and high adventure in the mountains of North Georgia. Summer-time fun!
AND EVE IS STILL MY PROJECT BUDDY...
We planted some flowers last week. And then posed for a really "cheesy" picture.
Today, Eve helped me prepare some campfire torches for cerimonial use by the scouts; she was a big help.
The finished torches will be delivered this week for use over the summer camp season.
THAT'S ENOUGH FOR NOW...
I will close with a quick pic of my windshield from some random debris on the highway. This has also been fixed like new. I can see the road again! So until next time - I'll be seein' ya'...

Wow, sorry to hear about the pain but at least it is resolved now!

Great pictures once again, looks like a little infection didn't slow you down much.

I've been a little sick lately too, but I'm treating it with alcohol and it seems to be getting better.
