AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT...

MIXED BAG; FOUND PHOTOS... We have all heard stories of the forgetful uncle (or grampa') who takes some great photos and then leaves the film in the can until it is discovered much later on. I have done the same thing, only digitally. Earlier this week I was using my camera to document a disassembly and rebuild of a tricky piece of equipment. In the process I got a message that my card was full. I decided to swap cards and delete poor photos later. The replacement card was also full! That was odd!?! I grabbed my third card and completed the project, keeping the additional full card in mind. These photos are some of the images I discovered when I opened and downloaded the pictures. From the look of things, these were taken sometime over the past winter. Photo one is a real keeper. Rachel sharing her music with Eve. Each one gets one earplug! Very cute. Denny was enjoying a fine breakfast, sometime around Christmas, in photo number two. In photo three I caught Eve as she slipped into a quiet slumber; in mid-sentance! She was also the subject of picture four. I have been informed that a "real cook" always has a towel over her shoulder.Rachel loves to read. She is always in the midst of another great story. I took this picture of her in her favorite chair, doing her favorite thing. I have also officially willed the chair and lamp to her when she gets a place of her own someday. There were several shots of Denny "celebrating" his birthday. This is a typical one with the birthday boy looking annoyed, as usual. All-in-all, I had a lot of fun discovering these almost forgotten photos. I thought about getting y'all to attach captions, like Katie, but decided to wait until I wasn't stealing ideas.
AND ON OTHER SUBJECTS...
Here is a video and some additional shots from the completion of the latest Eagle project. Well done Mathew!

The finished ramp has been used by the cooks already, and they are very happy with the results! The guys all really learned some new skills on this project, and they agree that they learned a lot that will be of benefit to them in the future.
...like "bricking" the rough edges of the finished concrete.
... Setting and stripping forms.
... Clearing the site of debris.
And of course, the mandatory landscaping to complete the job to perfection.
NOAH SPENDS TIME WITH GRAMPA'
We had a few projects to complete, but we also had a bit of fun.
Noah was just the right size to get into the storage building at the scout hut to help clear the way for us to repair the mower. Good work, mighty noah!
After fixing a flat tire and repairing the mowing deck, Noah took the mower out for a test run. All systems GO! Time for our reward for all the hard work.
Chicken nuggets, fries and ice cream at CHIK-FIL-A! Noah was trying hard to not crack while enjoying... Ice cream and a big laugh. It is always fun to spend time with the kids.

I did not expect to be so long with this BLOG. Finding the photos led me to other stuff and that's just what happened.

so, until next time. I'll be seein' ya'...

Great found photos and Noah was talking about how to jump start a lawn mower. He said it was fun. Thanks for pulling the couch potato outside!

Finding old random photos is almost as much fun as finding money in your coat from last year!! Thanks for sharing with us!! :)

You evidently have too many pictures if you can forget those kind of memories. This is the curse of the digital age where we don't make hard copies of anything.
Love.
