EASTER MEMORIES...My dad posted some memories from his childhood, and that got me to thinking. As a kid I recall that Easter always meant brand new outfits for church. We also got our pictures taken in the new Easter clothes. I have a few photos of some of us kids in front of grandmom and grandpops house on Easter sunday. We had brand new outfits, fresh haircuts and GIANT wicker Easter baskets full of candy! I also recall that there were some early flowers poking out of the remains of a snow bank. I will try to find that photo an scan it soon.
SPRING HAS SPRUNG... At last! As our yard plantings show. I thought we would never get to the warm spring weather, but at last I think we have made it. (stupid global warmimg)
CURRENT EVENTS... Mostly center around our cars! Sue celebrated spring by getting a full car wash - inside and out!
Lookin' Good Granny!
And I suffered a blowout on my JEEP on the way to work last week, leading to a visit to the shop for new tires, shocks, replacement of a broken sway bar mount and a few other things. As you can see we are back in service with the old work horse.
AND SPEAKING OF CARS... Noah and Grampa' stopped by "cruise night" in Tucker on saturday. Here he is by a 40' FORD hotrod.
Noah liked this one so much that after a quick check over his shoulder to see if the owner was looking...
... he took it out for a spin! Future getaway driver?
Noah also took this photo of Grampa' with a car from a different era. We had lots of fun.
QUICK NOTE ON SCOUTS... Some of our guys went on a canoe trip for spring break, while another crew went backpacking. We also had a few guys still in town for the ongoing Eagle project. I'll close with this clip from the work site.
Until next time, HAPPY EASTER, and I'll be seein' ya'...

Good blog. I hope your childhood memories of the holidays were as happy as mine were.

I can't wait to see the picture you described. I hope you can find it! Love ya!! :)
Such cool photos! Classic cars are always fun! Your azaleas are gorgeous.
Can you say BUSTER BROWN?
What GORGEOUS pix showing a full Georgia springtime! We don't have azaleas, dogwoods, forsythia, or tulip trees (or mimosas in the summer) Miss it so much...but not the yellow peril....
