THE SNOW BEGAN SLOWLY ...And it was really beautiful. As it continued we realized that we might just get a little more snow than we had originally expected.
And soon we were in a winter day that really DID remind me of Syracuse for a bit (Peg).
The words from a poem also came back; in part at least. "The wood in the snow was dark and deep ... and I have miles to go before I sleep, miles to go before I sleep". I know there is more, and I think I have things out of order, but it did come to mind when I saw my footprints.EVERYTHING LOOKED FRESH AND CRISP...Like the big tree in front of the neighbors house...And our home, which was warm and toasty under the frosty pines.
THE WEATHER WAS JUST FINE...... For a real outdoorsman, like me. ... or an indoor girl like Sue.
And, just like a mountie, she finally got her man... ... After tracking him in the snow.
All in all, it was a great birthday gift for Sue.AND THIS ISN'T THE WHOLE STORY...
Since we had a hail storm the week before.
But that is another story.
Perhaps I will save it for later; when we are all complaining about how hot it is...
