SPRING HAS SPRUNG...

COMMUNITY SERVICE...
Early last month our extended family turned out along with the scouts and the Tucker Civic Association (TCA) to help with a park cleanup.
From the youngest to the oldest we did our share. Mom and dad worked with the girls and Noah to clean and beautify. Aaron and Grampa' helped replace six benches along the waterfront.

The end result of the "give-an-hour" project was very satisfying. The park and lake look much better, and the wildlife seem happy.

REWIND AND DO IT AGAIN...
A few weeks later, Aaron, Eve  and I braved a day of steady rain and joined our church for another service project. There are several old and hidden cemeteries in our neighborhood that were in need of attention. So we turned out to help.

Aaron rebuilt some benches (again) and also helped with resetting some toppled headstones with the JEEP and winch.

Eve was our photo journalist and did a great job capturing info from headstones for genealogy purposes.
Some of the names are ancestores of people from our church congregation today and were here before and during the "big war".

THIS JUST IN !!
Our little girl, Victoria, is now 40!!

"freinds" from near and far were hired to fill a popular local restaurant for the big birthday bash. And a good time was had by all.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TORIE !!!

ANOTHER KIDS WORKSHOP PROJECT...

Eve and Grampa' were first in line to build this "lawn chair planter" on saturday morning. We also bought mom a cool "Coral Cactus" for her birthday gift. The planter has since been painted a lovely shade of yellow.
That's about it for now. Until next time; I'll be seein' ya'...

Sounds like a lot of work for an old geezer. I guess idle hands are the devil's workshop, huh????

Keep enjoying those kiddos, all too soon they'll be grown and gone.... I've got mine close at hand in my little nest for at least a little while!!

I love Althea's expression! I'm stealing that photo for my blog.

Eve had yet another great H.D. project!

It was cool helping out at the clean up.
