On friday afternoon I had a small accident at work and got a checkup at the emergency room. I am fine, but did require a few stiches. There will also be a trip to the dentist to repair some damaged teeth. The stitches are doing nicely, however. I was using a hand press to install some inner bearings in an outer cylinder when the press somehow failed. The press arm fell from the machine and hit me in the mouth. I fell back and hit my elbow on the floor, and that was that.
My sister has informed me that the small, loose patch of skin on the elbow is called the wenos. I can now proudly share the story of my wenos injury with everyone! Thanks Peg (I think).
IN BETTER NEWS...
Rachel has had a wonderful week at drama camp! As you can see, she has learned all of the elegant and refined ways of the theater. Next week will be her Budding Authors class at the annual College for Kids at Mercer University. This weekend she stayed with Granny Alice and Hayley. Rachel does not waste her summer oportunities.
Noah is still in search of perpetual motion! He participated in a "booster-thon" at school, and then cub scout "twilight camp". He usually vegitates here at our house on the weekends (due to the 24 hour cartoon network), but on saturday he helped me organize some rain tarps and other equipment at the scout hut. Aaron is back home after a great week at scout camp! The old, traditional ways have not changed much. The guys in the troop had a great time and and got to earn lots of merit badges. Shotgun shooting and leather work were two favorites for Aaron. Check out his completed wallet from the leather working merit badge. Nicely done, Aaron. Now all you need to do is earn a little cash for that new wallet! I need to tell the truth and credit Victoria's BLOG for the four photos above. Visit her at http://www.victoriataylor.blogspot.com/ and see what else is happening with her family. EVE AND GRAMPA, AGAIN...
As usual, the first weekend of the month is always Eve and grampa's visit to the Home Depot Kids Workshop. We set out early, with Eve sporting her OSHA approved girly sandles.
I really enjoy our time together every month at these projects. I hope some of you will take time to teach a kid about tools and building, it is priceless.
NEXT WEEK IS FATHER'S DAY...
Do something nice for the dad in your life, he is really important.
Until next time, I'll be seein' ya'...

I love the OSHA approved girly sandles. I'm wondering how long it will be before all The Home Depot stores start using them in their dress code?
