I have a lot of photos and stories to share, so this will be somewhat eclectic.
I HAVEN'T SEEN THIS IN YEARS...
Long icicles were somewhat common when I was a kid. Of course we lived way up north and some of the older homes had no gutters or insulation, leading to a lot of melting snow to make them. Our scout hut is an old place that meets these same criteria; so we had icicles over the door.
KIDS WORKSHOP WAS FUN...Eve has enough pins on her apron to qualify as a south American general or Home Depot store manager! The kids workshop leaders know her by name and always look forward to her visit. She ALWAYS builds her own projects with very little help. This month she built a race track and cars, similar to a mini pnewood derby.
Here is the result of her efforts; and my first video download. Don't ya' love it??!!We also shared our work table with some freinds from church. Hannah and Nefi showed up right after us with their kids. We shared hammers and glue and lots of smiles and fun.
MORE EAGLE WORK LAST WEEK...
...AND AFTER THAT WE HAD PRACTICE
For the GOLDEN AXE competition. This yearly contest is held at the spring camporee, and our troop is gearing up for a win. The rules are simple: Each troop is issued a log of similar size and length. The log must be sawn into short lengths...Then cut into tinder......and finally a fire laid to burn through 2 strings at 18 and 24 inches above grade.Once the guys accomplish all of this, in a relay fashion, they get to cook a pancake. The first troop to cook and eat a pancake wins!! I will report back on how they do after the camporee.
I guess that is enough for now, I have been too long-winded this time. Next BLOG will be for Maddy; I got to visit a customer this week that might be of interest to her - they make diapers there!
Until next time, I'll be seein' ya'...

You are the Stephen Spielberg of Home Depot! I love it.
