VALENTINE'S DAY...

...And then some!
Let's get the BIG DEAL out of the way first.Eve got a very nice valentine lollipop from Randy! They had a very nice time playing together and she insisted that Randy is NOT her boyfreind.Later, Eve posed for me as a "flamingo", standing on one leg in the yard. We had a good time playing together and preparing a valentine surprise for Granny and Eve's mom and dad.
AND OF COURSE WE DID OUR GOOD DEED... Aaron and I worked on yet another Eagle project. This one will install a paved walkway to allow access to a local church kitchen. We had fun, despite the light, misty rain. Beside the work, we did a bit of exploring. It seems that the church building we were working at was built on fill. The area had originally been a mill pond and was a rally point during a civil war battle. Here is a local "hysterical site", (credit to uncle Ron for the pun) and a sign to explain it.
SPRING MAY BE HERE... Seeing these flowers in bloom, along with some buds on the trees at home, I got thinking about one of my warm weather projects. Since we had a tiller on loan from a troop member, and since I was in charge of transporting and operating it, I decided to take the tiller home and make use of it. I have been working slowly and steadily on the patio project at home and this was a perfect chance to cut in some of the areas I wanted to re-grade. It went well and I have a lot of earth moved. I just hope we don't get too much rain before I can get back to the site and finish grading for the pavers.
AND, TO FOLLOW UP FROM LAST WEEK... Aaron and I visited the gun show with uncle Bill and uncle Steve. We had fun and found a bargain! One of the vendors had a deal where you get three pocket knives for five dollars!! Aaron and I went through his inventory and got swiss army knives for camping and backpacking.
AND A SMALL HOORAY FOR ME... This gadget is one of our products at work. Mercedes Benz uses these clamps to accurately locate and firmly hold large parts during robotic welding. I have been writing manuals and process documents for the rebuilding of these units. I have been promoted to the quality team for the work I have been doing. We recently received a note from a customer telling us that our quality was excellent and that they thought we had sent brand new units instead of rebuilt!!! This was great news for all of us and bodes well for us with future business with this customer.
I hope I can help continue this trend for all of our sakes.
Until next time, I'll be seein' ya'...

Eve definitely has a boy friend even if she thinks otherwise. I really love the photos of Aaron. My handsome grandson.
