HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DENNY
Our boy had his birthday on january 15th with little fuss. Uncle Denny enjoyed another visit to S&S cafeteria (his new favorite place) for a nice dinner. On the weekend Eve decided that we needed to have a cake for the celebration. Instead, we had cupcakes! and they were great!!
I would also like to mention that we shared a birthday wish with one of my good buddies, David Lee. He is now a whopping 24 years old and a regular "chick magnet".
David was born here in Atlanta and now lives in Utah with his very loving and supportive family (AKA his "peeps"). His parents, Rusty and Lisa were, and still are, great supporters of scouting. We worked together a lot and had a great time. Another son, Jonothan is an Eagle. Happy birthday David.
AND SPEAKING OF SCOUTING...
Aaron and I went along to help with an ongoing Eagle project on saturday. He did a great job and we had a nice time together. We helped install additional "water bars" to reduce erosion, and fill trails with lots of mulch.
Aaron learned how to handle a "one-legged Irishman", better known to most as a wheelbarrow.
The project Aaron and I were helping with consists of a few hundred feet of trails and an outdoor gathering area with a deck. The deck will be one step above ground level and serve as a gathering place and outdoor classroom for the church and community.
I will share on the adventures of Eve and Randy in a future posting. Until then, I'll be seein' ya'..

Keep on blogging.
Talk to you soon.....
Love ya!!
That trail and the erosion shore up looks WAY too much like that one we did at Meadowcreek High - but i don't think yours will wash away in the first storm. Whoa - that was 13 years ago!!!! You - I mean we, are OLD. PS Thanks for the bday shout out to David.
There seems to be nothing but fun in your life these days.
Love.
Honey, this is a great and funny blog. I love it!
Good blog, glad to see you are keeping the work fun, that is a big part of getting people to do a job. Take care.
Thank you for indulging my little Paula Deen. She does love to bake! Maybe she is a morphed version of Paula Deen and Martha Stewart. Scary.
Thanks for taking Aaron to the Eagle project. I love the measuring tape joke and I had not heard of the other moniker for a wheelbarrow. Too funny!
That's exactly why they call that end ot the tape the dumb end.
I love it when you get to do things with Aaron.
