Happy New Year to all. I want to just catch up a little bit now that I have taken a break over the holidays. We enjoyed the annual New Years dinner at my house, even though there was a slightly smaller turnout this year. We missed all of you who were not here, but we understand the travel issues with those who managed to be here for Christmas.
WE PLAYED THE WHITE ELEPHANT GAME...I still didn't get the Barack Obama commemorative plate or the Illinois senate seat I was hoping for, but maybe next time. The gifts were as silly as always and we had a great meal and lots of fun. Thank you Sue.
OTHER THINGS TO SHARE...
Include some thank you's for the wonderful Christmas gifts from everyone. My very favorite was an MP3 player from Victoria and Michael. I am learning to download music and use the little widget pretty well. I also received a nice cordless drill to replace my old one that "disappeared". The drill is all charged up and ready for use.Even Uncle Denny had a good time this year!
WE ALSO HAD A GREAT CHRISTMAS TREE SEASON...We sold every single tree, and made enough to fund all the activities for the troop in 2009! Good job guys!!
...goes out to Uncle Dennis and Jimmy, for the use of the "red neck in-law suite". That camper was literally a "lifesaver" on a few of the coldest and wetest nights we worked through. THAT JUST ABOUT COVERS THINGS FOR NOW...
All of us here want to wish everyone a very happy, safe and prosperous new year. God Bless us all - and especially those who are protecting us...

Good blog about a good time. Thanks to you and Sue for hosting us again. We really enjoyed it.
Love.
We are all so happy that the trees sold so well and the Scouts can benefit from all that hard work. It was a great New Years day and Christmas day.
