LET'S START WITH SATURDAY MORNING...
THEN ON SUNDAY...
We joined Rachel to celebrate another "budding authors" publication and awards cerimony.
And then contemplating her next possible story...
TUESDAY WAS SCOUT MEETING NIGHT...
Michael and Aaron were the featured attraction for the evening. Michael taught basics of climbing, such as proper technique for "belaying" another climber. Aaron acted as assistant and demonstrator. The guys are planning a trip to "Atlanta Rocks", an indoor climbing center later this month.
AND IN OTHER BIG NEWS...
Aaron moved his name tag up the rank advancement board and is now a life scout. That is his official "Life to Eagle" handbook he is holding. Silly face optional.
Congratulations Aaron!!! A few more merit badges and it will be time for the Eagle project.
Aaron is also begining to try mastering the tricky business of operating a clutch on grampa's JEEP. He is a very cautious and attentive driver - ON PRIVATE PROPERTY ONLY. He is also very good at shifting for me when we drive anywhere. I just move my feet and he gets the correct gear!
NEXT BLOG WILL SHARE THE LATEST ON TREE LOT SETUP...
I thought that would be plenty for now.
Granny and I will be traveling this weekend, so until next time; I'll be seein' ya'...

Teaching another person to drive...is the world ready?
Great photos of the happenings with the kiddos and Scouts.
Silly, silly, squirrel!
Good blog....as Victoria said...Silly, silly squirrel!!
I have been thinking of you and Sue all day. I took a great "field trip" to a fabric store today. It's an enormous place with a website and tour buses stop there all the time. The reason I thought of you guys was because of the array of "scouting related" fabrics. There must have been 10 or 12 different fabrics with something to do with Boy Scouts. And each fabric came in a variety of colors!!! I couldn't believe the HUGE section JUST on Scouting....Now imagine a department for every "thing" you can think of, as well as every "color" in the world....I was overwhelmed.....I spent over 3 hours there and I think I spent half of the time just staring at all the STUFF!!!!
Have a great weekend trip.
Talk to you soon.....
Love ya!!
Teaching Aaron to drive?!?! Is he really old enough for that?? Man, I'm getting old!!!
Busy week end. I hope the squirrel is happy with his 23 virgins. Please let us know when Aaron gets on the road so we can be on the lookout.
Love.
It was interesting explaining to Noah that there really are things we can do when the power is off. He was the first one up to discover the outage. We managed to find a board game to occupy the time. Noah's main concern was Saturday cartoons.
You know, I actually miss those danged squirrels. I never thought I'd say that, but we don't have any out here -
I just told Sue, there is this HILARIOUS video on youtube about a ward talent show that you have got to see. I know you'll 'bust a gut'. I gave her the link - for somereason I can't get it to copy onto this.
